Dannii Minogue got tired one day of being Kylie Minogue's little sister (the girl who had a huge hit with the '80s remake Locomotion), and decided to strike out in the entertainment business on her own. This was when she was 7. As a result of her young ambition, she ended up on an Australian series Skyways, which was her first taste of fame, that led to a career of acting, singing, hosting, and more recently, the role of Esmeralda in the West End musical Notre-Dame de Paris. Danielle Jane Minogue was born October 20, 1971, in Melbourne, Australia. It's no surprise that Dannii would emerge as a born talent, considering the family she comes from. Her mother Carol is a former ballet dancer, her father is Ron, and her sister is none other than pop sensation Kylie Minogue. Dannii and Kylie also have a brother Brendan, who is a TV cameraman.
