When Cynthia was a teen, she was diagnosed with immune thrombocyopenia, an autoimmune disease of the blood. For two years she required chemotherapy and a splenectomy. It appears to be in remission today. Her husband, Curt, whom she married in 1996 is a Los Angeles restaureteur. Attended Macomb Community College, Macomb County, Michigan Boston University School of Fine Arts (Bachelor of Fine Arts) Enjoys skiing and dancing. -IMBD She won the Daytime Emmy "Outstanding Lead Actress in a Daytime Drama Series" in 1998.
