Carolyn Murphy has always been a household name among fashion industry types, but it wasn't until the controversy over Elizabeth Hurley's virtual exit from cosmetics giant Estee Lauder that the general population was formally introduced to her. Carolyn Murphy is the face of Estee Lauder, replacing Elizabeth Hurley as the primary spokesperson. She was VH1/Vogue's "Model of the Year" in 1998 and has done campaigns for world-famous design houses like Prada, Versace, Gucci, and Dolce & Gabbana. In February 2005, she was chosen to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Edition.
