Giovanni was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, although she attended high school in Orange County. She got her start in modeling on October 1, 1999 when she began appearing on various amateur pornography websites such as Amateur Pink, Busty Amateurs, and Seductive Amateurs. In 2000, Aimee Sweet introduced Giovanni to glamour photographer Suze Randall, who in May of that year shot photos of Giovanni which soon appeared in Penthouse magazine.
