Lead singer of Spanish pop rock band "Mecano". In 1993 the band split up.

Her group with Nacho and José María cano released 8 albums: Mecano (1982), Ya no viene el sol (1984), En concierto (1985), Entre el cielo y el suelo (1986), Lo último de Mecano (1986), Descanso Dominical (1988), Aidalai (1991)and Ana Jose Nacho (1998)

She has released 5 albums in her solo career since Mecano disappeared: Puntos Cardinales (1997), Pasajes de un sueño (2000), Girados en concierto (with Miguel Bosé) (2000), Ana Torroja (2001)and Frágil (2003)

Daughter born in August 2005.

Ana Torroja was born in Madrid on December 28, 1959. Ana made her latest musical production, "Pasajes de un Sueño" in New York. It was released in Spain on January 2, 2000. For this new CD, more latin and acoustic than the previous one, Ana has chosen Arto Lindsay. The voice , sensibility, and the sense of equilibrium of Ana Torroja can be perceived at a glance.
